What trial options do you offer for new members?

We currently offer 2 different trial options for new members.​

1. Beginners 101 Pass: Completely new to Muay Thai? You will need to attend the Beginners 101 classes for the first two weeks. These classes run every Monday and Wednesday at 7pm. In these classes, you will learn the fundamental strikes, stance and correct pad holding technique to get you ready to integrate into the All Levels classes. Learn more here

2. The New Joiner Pack: Provides a 2-week unlimited membership for only $60. Perfect for those who have trained. The New Joiner Pack does not include Sparring & Clinching sessions.

* Trial options above are limited to new members only, non-transferrable

* At the expiry of 2-weeks, membership will roll over to Unlimited $60 unless notified otherwise within 1 weeks prior to expiry of 2-weeks.

Do you offer classes for teenagers?

Yes! Our Muay Thai for Teenagers classes starts Monday 6 January and will run every Monday and Wednesday at 4pm. 

Suitable for ages 13-16 YO.

No prior experience required.

Parent/Guardian must sign consent form.

What do I need to bring to my first class?

Wear comfortable active wear that you can exercise in, a towel and hydration (we also have a stocked fridge of refreshments!).

Bring a pair of gloves / shin guards if you have any otherwise we can loan you a pair for the day. You will need your own training equipment after the first class. 

Loan gear requirement: hand wraps must be worn. Bring your own or can purchase at the gym

Do I need martial arts experience to join?

No, we cater for all levels of experience! Everybody is welcome at Maneema Muay Thai. If you are a complete beginner, you are required to go into the Beginners 101 class held every Monday and Wednesday 7pm before you can transition into the All levels. 

Do I need my own gear?

What do I wear? Any comfortable active wear. T-shirt/singlet. If you don’t have Muay Thai shorts, you can get a pair from the gym for around $95.

 

First time trying out? We have gear available to purchase at the gym upon your arrival. Alternatively you can borrow a set of gloves to use during your first session. Hand-wraps must be worn and can be purchased at the gym.

All students must use their own gear to continue training (gloves, shin guards, hand wraps, Muay Thai shorts & mouth guard for sparring). All gear is available for purchase at the gym. How often do you recommend coming to class?

This depends on your goals, the more often you can come the quicker you are going to get to where you want to be. You will see more improvements in your technique and increase your fitness faster the more often you train. Please read more tips in our blog

Do you have showers?

Yes, we have shower facility in the gym for those who need to rinse before heading off!

Can anyone attend sparring classes?

Sparring classes are available to our Maneema members only

This is for the safety of our class members.

We require our students to have a reasonable level of understanding and skill before participating in contact sparring.

If you are a member and would like to join the sparring classes, please speak to Kru Pong to see if are ready participate!

Do you have parking onsite?

Yes, we have ample street parking available on the side streets including Mallett St, Australia St and behind in Pidock St.

 

Note, Parramatta Rd parking is available on the weekdays between 10am to 3pm and in evenings 7pm onwards.  

How long do the classes go for?

Classes generally run for 1 hour. Students are welcome come earlier to do extra warm up or stretching. We also encourage group jogging sessions before classes. 

What age does my child need to be to participate in the kids classes?

Our kids classes are suitable for children aged 6 years and above. When they reach 14 years of age or over they may participate in our teenagers classes. If you are under 18 years of age please bring a parent or guardian when you come to your first class as they will need to sign a consent form.

Where can we buy Muay Thai Gear?

Maneema Muay Thai has collaborated with Infightstyle. We stock a large range of their high quality aesthetic Muay Thai gloves, shin guards, shorts, apparel in our Shop (discounted for all our members, not to mention no shipping fee!)

How can I cancel my membership?

To cancel your membership, please email hello@mamuaythai.com.au. A 30-day notice period prior to the next payment is required and if you are in a contract period, an early termination fee may apply. 

Social media messaging is not acceptable as a means to cancel. 

Can I put my membership on hold?

Yes. You can put your membership on hold for up to 5 weeks. There is a fee of $5 per week for this service. A 2-week notice period prior to the next payment is required. To request a hold, please email hello@mamuaythai.com.au minimum 2 weeks notice required. 

*Hold period is not included in the minimum term.
