Beginners 101
Entry Level

All beginners MUST start in the Beginners 101 classes where you will learn the key principles of striking, defense, footwork, stance and how to hold pads for your partner and build a good fitness base.

​

Getting the fundamentals of Muay Thai is a crucial first step to build your foundations. From here, anything is possible to build on your technique, movement, speed and power.

​

Once you complete the 2-week Beginners 101 Pass, you can then join the group classes with confidence!

Beginners Fundamentals
Level 2

Once you complete your 2-week Beginners 101 pass, you’ll move into Beginners – Fundamentals, where you start building solid striking technique on the pads, follow padwork combos, learn defensive skills, and build strong, confident pad holding skills.

Muay Thai Fundamentals
Level 2

 

This class is designed as the bridge between beginner and more advanced training — a balanced session that builds on your fundamentals without being too basic or too advanced. You’ll continue developing your technique through padwork and drills, refine your combinations, and improve timing, flow, and overall understanding of Muay Thai. It’s Muay Thai for everyone — with a mix of levels in the room, ensuring there’s always someone suitable to train with. Suitable for beginners to advanced students. To join this class, you should already understand the core fundamentals of Muay Thai, including correct pad-holding technique and the ability to work confidently in freestyle padwork.

Muay Thai for Everyone
Morning & Lunch Classes

Level 2

Morning & Lunch classes run for 45mins. These classes are perfect for those that need to get their adrenaline pumping and sweat going. The class usually involves 5 rounds of padwork and conditioning finishers. 

​

This class is also welcome to beginners who can't make the evening classes. Our coaches will go through the fundamentals of Muay Thai so you get you onto pads with confidence.

Boxing for Muay Thai

Level 2

Unlike traditional boxing, Muay Thai boxing requires modified footwork, weight distribution, and posture to stay grounded and ready to defend or check kicks. This class helps you develop sharper hands, better head movement, and seamless transitions between punches, kicks, and elbows — making your overall Muay Thai game more complete and effective. These classes add option light boxing sparring at the end of the class to incorporate what we just learnt.

Technique Drills & Padwork

Level 3

Once you have covered the fundamental and feel confident with the fundamental strikes and freestyle pad-holding, speak with Kru Pong to see if you are ready to join the All Levels!

In these classes, the focus shifts to more advanced technique and drills, helping you build a deeper technique library and overall fight IQ. You’ll work through structured combinations, partner drills, and apply them in more dynamic scenarios.

Sparring & Clinch Fundamentals
(Members Only)
Level 3

PRE-REQUISITES

  • These classes are strictly for members only.

  • Min. 2 months training at Maneema.

  • Pre-approval for the head-coach

  • Correct gear

This is for the safety of our members.

Anybody that cannot spar with control and respect will be asked to leave. 

​​

 Sparring is where you need to think for yourself, know how to protect yourself and look for opportunities to strike. They are high energy and will challenge you (in a good way!) 

 

This class is specifically designed to prepare those that want to join the sparring classes. You will be learning techniques and drills to both attack and defend during sparring.​​​

 

Requirements:

- Members only

- Head coach approval 

- 16 oz Muay Thai gloves

- Shin guards

- Mouth guard

- Groin guard (recommended)

- Hand wraps

- Muay Thai shorts

- Towel

Sparring & Clinch
Intermediate/Adv

(Members/Invite only)

Level 4

PRE-REQUISITES

  • These classes are strictly for members only.

  • Pre-approval for the head-coach

  • Correct gear

  • All new members must start in the Fundamentals sparring class regardless how long you've trained for elsewhere

These classes are strictly for members only. This is for the safety of our members. Anybody that cannot spar with control and respect will be asked to leave. 

​

Execute techniques you learn in class into practice in our controlled sparring class under the close supervision of our trainers.

​

Clinching is a key aspect of Muay Thai that sets it apart from other striking martial arts.

 

In our clinching classes, you’ll develop the skill of clinching such as controlling your opponent's posture, off-balancing them, and creating openings for devastating knee strikes, elbows, and throws. Mastering the clinch is essential for effective close-range fighting, improving both your defense and offense in the ring.

These classes require a high level of fitness and skill. They are fun and friendly and challenging!

What is the Beginners 101 Pass?

The Beginners 101 Pass is your structured introduction to Muay Thai.

Designed specifically for complete beginners, it helps you build a strong foundation before entering regular classes.

Why Start Here?

Muay Thai is built on fundamentals:

Learning these early ensures you develop correct technique from day one, reducing injury risk and improving long-term progress.

Beginners 101 runs:

  • Monday & Wednesday 7:15 PM – 8:15 PM

  • Friday 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
