Meet Kru Ton: 165 Fights, Thai Stadium Experience & Authentic Muay Thai Training in Sydney

At Maneema Muay Thai, we believe the best way to learn Muay Thai is from people who have spent their lives learning, fighting and teaching the art.

That’s exactly what Kru Ton brings to our gym in Camperdown.

With 165 professional fights and 120 wins, Kru Ton has spent most of his life in Muay Thai. He started training at just 8 years old and had his first fight at 20kg — a familiar path for fighters growing up around Muay Thai in Thailand.

From those early fights, he went on to compete across Thailand, including on the prestigious stadium circuit and at events associated with Channel 7 and Channel 5. His career has taken him through Bangkok and Chiang Mai, and more recently to Pattaya, where he trained and worked alongside fighters and trainers at Sitcho Muay Thai, including renowned Muay Ying fighter Daow.

A Fast, Technical Muay Mat Style

Kru Ton is a Muay Mat fighter, known for his speed, sharp combinations and ability to move quickly in and out of range.

But what stands out most in his coaching is his attention to detail.

His sessions focus heavily on technique, footwork, timing and movement. Rather than simply throwing more strikes, Kru Ton teaches students how to move correctly, understand distance and put techniques together with purpose.

He has a naturally friendly personality and is usually smiling — which is where his nickname at Maneema comes from: the smiling assassin.

Once the pads come out, things change.

A Lifetime of Training Behind the Coaching

Kru Ton's commitment to Muay Thai continued even as he moved further into coaching.

While working as a trainer, he maintained a demanding daily routine — running 10km every morning before teaching, then completing 10 rounds of pads before his afternoon classes.

That discipline carries into the way he coaches. His approach is technical, precise and focused on the small details that make good Muay Thai work.

And because he has spent so many years both fighting and coaching, he understands that different students need different things from their training. Beginners need clear instruction and a strong technical foundation. More experienced students can work on timing, movement, combinations and the finer details that make a difference once the basics are established.

Authentic Thai Muay Thai Training in Sydney

Kru Ton is now part of the coaching team at Maneema Muay Thai in Camperdown, bringing another perspective from Thailand to our gym.

At Maneema, our goal has always been to provide authentic Thai-style Muay Thai training in Sydney while keeping the gym welcoming to everyone — from complete beginners through to experienced fighters.

Having coaches with genuine fight and training backgrounds means students aren't simply being shown a workout. They're learning Muay Thai technique, movement, timing and the culture behind the art.

Whether you're stepping onto the mats for the first time or you've been training for years, there is always another detail to learn.

Train 1-on-1 with Kru Ton

One of the best ways to experience Kru Ton's coaching is through private Muay Thai training.

A 1-on-1 session gives you his full attention, allowing him to slow techniques down, identify small mistakes and work specifically on the areas you want to improve.

Whether you want to improve your footwork, sharpen your technique, develop your pad work, build confidence before joining group classes or simply want more focused training, private sessions give you the time and attention that isn't always possible in a group.
