WHAT IS MUAY THAI?

Muay Thai, originates from Thailand and is known as "The Art of Eight Limbs" and is one of the most powerful and effective martial arts and combat sports in the world. It is known for its power and maximum efficiency. Utilizing all 8 limbs to kick, punch, knee and elbows to develop powerful strikes and clinching for the ultimate offense and defense technique.

Training sessions involve warm up, pad work, technique drills, conditioning & sparring (optional) with a focus on physical and mental discipline.

WHY TRAIN AT MANEEMA MUAY THAI?

Maneema Muay Thai is the newest authentic Muay Thai gym in Sydney, conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from the Sydney CBD. The gym operates out of a loft-style facility on Parramatta Rd in Camperdown NSW. 

 

Maneema is family-owned and classes are run by Kru Pong, a head coach from Sinbi Muay Thai, Phuket. It offers the opportunity to learn one of the world’s fastest growing martial arts disciplines also known as the art of 8 Limbs, in a safe and welcoming environment. 

 

Our culture is light and friendly and once class kicks off, it becomes a vibrant place with lots of smiles, laughs and loud bangs as our members hone their skills on the bag or Thai pads. It is set to be one of, if not the, best new authentic Muay Thai gym in Australia. 

 

Maneema's schedule caters for all levels, fundamentals, intermediate/advanced as well as kids classes every Saturday morning.

We cater to students of all ages, fitness abilities and levels of expertise.  We want our students to leave feeling 1% better about themselves when they leave the gym. Muay Thai Trainer

MEET YOUR HEAD COACH - PONG

Born in the Southern Province of Thailand, Pong started training when he was just 7 years old and went on to have 70 fights before naturally transitioning into a trainer at the young age of 18.

 

In 2018 he was scouted by Sinbi Muay Thai, Phuket to join the team 30 trainers and quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the head trainers.

​

Pong is a natural born teacher. He is patient and funny which makes learning an enjoyable experience where you can't wait for the next class. 

 

Known for his eye for detail. His eyes don't miss a move. He will see your flaws and fix your technique so you can perfect your form. 

 

Pong is a Muay Kao (clinch and knee fighter). This style is rarely found outside of Thailand which makes him a widely sought after trainer. 

​

From the tropical island of Phuket, Kru Pong brings his enthusiastic and loud demeanour making his classes fun and full of energy with never a dull moment. Can you think of a better environment to learn?
